On March 30th, 2025, Neptune planet of spirituality, cosmic consciousness, imagination and illusion, entered the sign of Aries for the first time since 1875. For the last 14 years, this blue planet, named after the Roman equivalent of Poseidon, has been transiting the waters of Pisces, where many modern astrologers consider it to be most "at home." Neptune will stay (if we exclude some very brief retrogrades into Pisces or shifts into Taurus) in the sign of the ram until March 23rd, 2039. As I wrote in Part 1 of this article, Neptune's shift into Aries marks a new era for the collective that, if we imagine Neptune in Pisces to be more akin to a dream, can be likened to that first cup of coffee needed to get you up in the morning, so that after your restful sleep, you feel re-energized and awake enough to make those dreams a reality.
Part 1 focused more on the history of Neptune's last transit through Aries, from 1861 to 1875. In contrast, "Part 2" of this article is more focused on predictions for this current transit. Neptune's previous transit through the sign of Aries brought about changes in borders across the world, with territories either unifying into new sovereign nations or breaking apart in civil wars. It was an era of scientific invention, new frontiers in sports, realism in the world of art, and the idealization of the masculine hero (of which the American cowboy, of the then-"Wild West" is a good example) while the spiritual & religious movements of the time seemed more focused on action than escapism. Will Neptune's current transit through Aries spark similar changes? Or will it's influence take a drastically different form? Here, we examine the possibilities.

Neptune in Aries: Aspects
While it is important to look at the past in order to determine where our future is headed, it is also important to remember that the events of the past took place in their own unique astrological contexts. So, while certain themes, relevant to Neptune in Aries, may indeed repeat themselves, the things we experience this time around may not necessarily be identical to the 1860's. That said, it is interesting to note how many other factors are actually similar, such as a Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Taurus prior to both planets entering the sign of Gemini. While I do plan to address this, of course, it is important to examine how 2025-2039's Neptune in Aries transit may be influenced by other aspects too.
Let's start with looking at the ingress chart for the current Neptune in Aries period. This took place on Sunday, March 30th, 2025 at around 10 A.M. EST.

It is interesting to note that Neptune made an exact conjunction with Mercury Retrograde in Pisces very shortly before entering the sign of Aries. Pisces is the sign of Mercury's detriment too, meaning that miscommunication and confusion was likely at an all-time high. This could have been due to deception, vagueness, or just plain delusion, but there was definitely an overwhelming feeling in the air, like no one knew what the hell was going on. With this in mind, Neptune's entrance into the cardinal fire sign was like a bright ray of sunlight that helped clear away some of the fog. Of course, when you have this much Pisces energy (i.e. Mercury and Venus Retrograde, the North Node and Saturn) in the sky, clearing it up completely might take some time, but at least now, we can see through it well enough to make our way out.
Likewise, it's kind of cool that Neptune entered Aries during Aries Season. In fact, not only was the Sun in Aries but the Moon was in Aries too! Neptune's ingress into the sign of the ram occurred just one day after the New Moon and not just any New Moon, but a Solar Eclipse. This particular Solar Eclipse was especially significant because it was the last to involve the Aries/Libra axis after the North and South Node moved into the signs of Pisces and Virgo, respectively, basically helping us to wrap up the karmic themes of the last two & a half years. Such themes related to the balance of independence & autonomy vs. harmonious relationships with others may remain relevant to put into practice throughout this transit.

Aside from that, the most significant aspect Neptune in Aries makes will be its conjunction to Saturn at the very first degree, which since Aries is commonly said to be the first sign, is essentially the very first degree of the zodiac. These two planets have been hovering close by each other for a while now, in the sign of Pisces, and will continue to do so when Saturn moves into Aries later this month, but the exact conjunction will not occur until February 20th, 2026. This conjunction is so significant that it will require an article of its own, but essentially, this could be a whole new beginning for society unlike the world has seen in a very long time. Neptune dissolves whatever it touches and what does Saturn represent but order and societal structure. Basically, the old order is dissolving and in the sign of Aries, it may very well go out with a bang, but as the baby of the zodiac, this could also be the birth of a new and better one.
We should also discuss the influence of the other outer planets on the larger context of Neptune's transit through Aries. We can start by mentioning Pluto in Aquarius, since Neptune's sextile to Pluto will be the first aspect made to another generational planet, and besides, Pluto's stay in Aquarius will last the duration of Neptune's entire journey through Aries. This is different from Neptune's last transit through Aries, when Pluto was in the sign of Taurus, and Saturn was in Libra, making an opposition to Neptune, rather than a conjunction. For example, Saturn's opposition to Neptune showed a conflict between forces of order/structure and idealism/dissolution rather than an integration between them. Likewise, Pluto in Taurus was, in some ways, more concerned with changing the economic model of the times, while in some ways, maintaining the status quo, whereas Pluto in Aquarius aims to revolutionize and innovate humanity's social model completely for the better, even if it means overturning what's already there. Maybe this interpretation is a little off, but the point is...these different transits show subtle ways that this Neptune in Aries transit will not be exactly the same as the other one.

As stated before, however, Neptune's last transit through Aries occurred shortly after a conjunction between Uranus & Jupiter in Taurus before both planets moved into Gemini. This is interesting, because our current transit occurs during a similar configuration. While the conjunction took place a year ago, in April 2024, Jupiter is now in Gemini, and will be followed by Uranus on July 7th of this year, staying in the sign of the twins until May 22nd, 2025. So, we may very well indeed need to be prepared to see history repeat itself right before our eyes.
To be more specific, every time Uranus has been in Gemini, the United States has gone to war. This is most likely because it is the Uranus Return of the American government, founded during the "Revolutionary War" on July 4th, 1776, where it is placed with Mars in Gemini in the 7th house (house of partners/alliances but also open enemies) of the nation's birth chart. I don't want to say too much about Uranus's shift into Gemini now, as that will require another article, but it is important to mention here because the American Civil War occurred when both Uranus was in Gemini and Neptune was in Aries. With both transits co-occurring once again, it is not only possible, but I would even say likely that an American Civil War or at least, some sort of state succession, may very well take place again, especially taking the current political situation into consideration. However, while the previous civil war resulted in a union, since this time, Neptune in Aries & Uranus in Gemini will be accompanied by the more rebellious, Pluto in Aquarius, for the first time since shortly after the American Revolution, perhaps this one will result in a permanent division of the states. Time will tell, of course, as history can sometimes surprise astrologers by playing out in ways that are different than predicted while still remaining compatible with the astrology itself, an important thing to keep in mind while reading the next section below.

Neptune in Aries: Predictions
Probably the most obvious possibility would be the re-drawing of borders. The waves of immigration that took place during Neptune's last transit through Pisces triggered a massive(ly unfair, in my opinion) backlash of anti-immigration sentiment, particularly in both North America and Europe, which has lead to increased feelings of "nationalism" within their populations. At the same time, however, there is also a massive divide in opinion, culture and class, coming from within these nations, and many people feel unhappy with their governments and likewise, unrepresented by them. Such feelings could lead to an increase in civil wars across the globe, including in the United States where many people are (rightly, in my opinion) afraid of a dictatorship led by Donald Trump (as well as the influence billionaire technocrats like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel seem to hold on his current presidency, a thing that scares me much more than the individual "orange man" himself). With Pluto in Aquarius, also, and Uranus and Jupiter soon entering Gemini where they were during the last American Revolution, a Second American Civil War (especially considering that the first one took place soon after Neptune last entered Aries) seems more likely than ever before.
Basically, Neptune's transit through Aries could lead to a separation of nations from within nations, as well as revolutions. New nations may form while old ones end, new empires may rise while the current ones fall, or otherwise, nations could unite. I can't help but think of Donald Trump's plan to buy Greenland and possibly even other countries, which some fear could be the first step in ushering in the "New World Order" or one world government predicted by conspiracy theorists. That said, I am aware that the United States of America is not the only country looking to expand its power. The wars between Russia and Ukraine, and Israel and Palestine, are only two of the most talked about examples.

The re-drawing of boundaries might take other forms too though, aside from nationality. For example, human beings might divide themselves from the rest of earth's species (and some might even argue God!) by defining ourselves as creators of life through the invention of A.I. (artificial intelligence) and genetic engineering. We may very well become "gods" ourselves. Particularly given the nature of the upcoming Neptune-Saturn conjunction, we might attempt to turn our dream life into a reality by generating a new metaverse, or other virtual reality matrix type thing. In any case, this transit is definitely likely to spark new frontiers in consciousness! This is something I have referenced in other articles, as well, such as those in regard to Pluto in Aquarius and Saturn in Pisces (two transits that I believe were key players in the rise of ChatGPT and the like). However, these new frontiers in consciousness could also divide humanity into two different groups: those who accept such transhumanist inventions and those who will not. Nature may also play a role in influencing human evolution in new directions.
As new frontiers in technology light their fire on humanity, it will also be likely to spark a backlash, too. While many may be on board artificial intelligence and BCIs (brain-computer-interfaces), there will be many others who will want to separate themselves from such wildly futuristic invention. This could lead a massive increase in people seeking to go off the grid or even withdraw from mainstream society completely. This could take the form of survivalism and/or a return to nature movement, or it could simply be people getting more interested in expressing their unique individuality and/or doing their own thing. Remember, Neptune in Aries is all about celebrating rugged individualism, idealizing the lone individual, the pioneer who adventures on his/her/their own. Last Neptune in Aries transit gave birth to the "wild west" era in the United States of the idealized "cowboy" or "cowgirl."

There will most likely be an increase of interest in DIY (do-it-yourself) of all kinds, from making our own clothes to growing our own food etc. More and more people may break away from their typical corporate jobs to become entrepreneurs, while others may decide to opt out of the capitalist system completely. Similarly, celebrity culture is disappearing and we will likely kill our idols, so to speak, to become our own entertainers, a notion supported by other transits such as Pluto in Aquarius and the exposure of hidden truths that the gossip-loving Jupiter in Gemini unleashed on the Hollywood world, such as with the P. Diddy scandal.
On that note, Neptune transits seem to have a big influence on pop culture. Given that Neptune is the planet of illusions, dreams, imagination and the collective unconscious, as well as often considered to be the "higher octave of Venus," it makes sense for it to be associated with art forms of all kinds, including music, movies and everything else. So, Neptune's transit in Aries will likely shape media trends in other ways too. For example, last time Neptune transited through Aries, visual artists, poets and novelists alike, abandoned the Romanticism of Neptune's transit through Pisces for new movements centered on a more honest, straight-forward depicted of the world, such as Realism, Naturalism and Impressionism. This current transit of Neptune in Aries might initiate similar trends, whether that be a more back-to-basics approach to artistic technique or a shift toward media depicting the everyday life (including all of its horrors) of the average person, something that as of now, we almost never see on TV.

However, this transit favors boldness & originality, as well, even to the point of shock, so this transit could inspire more uniqueness and innovation in fashion, clothing, and arts & culture at large. So, the trends of the next decade & a half may reflect that in its diversity. While some artists (including musicians, film-makers etc.) might prefer the back-to-basics approach and/or content that bluntly reflects the real life of the average individual, no matter how ugly, others may choose to break boundaries in their art through different means, such as the inclusion of digital media, technological advances, or even blending art with science itself. Who knows? Such discoveries could very well allow us to become the architects and builders of our own universe in a more literal sense, although I'd imagine it would make me feel lonely.
Sports may also play a much bigger role in the recreational and cultural life of the coming decade or so, as they did during the last Neptune in Aries transit. Remember, Aries is ruled by Mars, who is both the warrior and the athlete of the zodiac, fueled by competition. This transit could inspire the invention (or expansion) of new sports, like it did during its last transit, new modes of physical activity and/or new games. This could involve an increase in virtual reality gaming, but unlike the standard video game where you sit on the floor all day, this next level VR might very well involve real physical activity. Of course, non-virtual reality gaming might be taken to a new level too, especially if these regular sports players want to keep up and compete with these new feats in technology. Since Aries is a daredevil, and Neptune in Aries transits often involve the breaking of boundaries, these new sports or games might involve the inclusion of more "daring" obstacles or even potentially dangerous activities to keep things more exciting and engaging. Basically, sports might be taken to an extreme, but let's hope it doesn't become a real-life Squid Game type scenario or a resurrection of the gladiator days.

Of course, real still war remains a big problem, and with Neptune in Aries, technology innovations will, unfortunately, be likely to include the invention of new weaponry. This might include literal underwater weapons, given that it is the Sea God we are discussing, after all (and to be fair, this transit could spark new deep-sea discoveries, in general). However, it might also include other modes of weaponry signified by the planet Neptune such as poisoning & biological warfare and/or mind control & hypnosis (which, BCI technologies could make a lot easier) or even weapons to be used in the mysterious environment of outer space. Let's hope not!
Neptune's transit through Aries will likely see an increase in other scientific advancements and digital technologies too, apart from digital warfare. Some of this we have already talked about. Last time Neptune transited Aries, the inventor was an idealized figure and with this transit accompanied by Pluto in Aquarius this time around, this is even more likely to be the case, with modern scientific discoveries potentially ushering in a whole new world completely, hence the title of this article, "singing a new tune."

Neptune is a planet greatly associated with trends in the realm of religion and spirituality, as well. During its last transit through the sign of Aries, it brought more activism to the world's religions, with more people aiming to actually practice what they preach. This current transit of Neptune in Aries might bring a similar spirit of activism to the world of religion, making it about what they do rather than what they merely believe and essentially using their beliefs to fuel their behavior rather than vice versa. On one hand, I see a more "liberal" form of Christianity (as well as other religions) gain in popularity amongst those wanting to actually live their lives the way Jesus did, by putting themselves on the front lines to serve those less fortunate, in contrast to a church that often does the opposite. There may be a dark side to this, though, especially when taking the last paragraph into account too. This transit may, unfortunately, spark more intense religiously-motivated (or religiously-justified, at least) warfare and/or fuel the fire of theocratic regimes. The warrior aspect of God may currently be a more attractive form to worship than the gentle Christ-figure, for many people at the moment, as indeed many American churches have already replaced Jesus Christ with Donald Trump as their idealized masculine hero, an archetype associated with Neptune in Aries. Neptune's previous transit through Aries divided the Christian church into even further denominations, largely in reaction to the political & social issues of the era, and it seems that we will indeed see similar themes play out in our time..
While on the subject of spirituality, it's worth mentioning the possibility that Neptune's current transit through Aries, the sign of the fire-cracking pioneer, might just result in the creation of new religions altogether. This could go hand in hand with the themes of many other recent transits, such as Saturn or the North Node's transit through Pisces. For example, this could be a new religion built on the premise of unification of all religions, like the last time Neptune transited Aries when the Baháʼí Faith. However, I also wouldn't be surprised to see a new religion or sect centered around the merging of spirituality and science. If anything, I'd be surprised if this doesn't happen. Likewise, while the individualist nature of Neptune in Aries may simply encourage more people to break away from their churches and/or cults (including political and other types of cults that we wouldn't typically associate with spirituality or religion) in favor of a more personal approach to connecting with the Divine, I wouldn't be surprised to see a religion or religious movement built around newly developed technologies such as the advancement of A.I. The idea that human beings could create their own forms of sentient life is, in fact, one that could cause many to question their more traditional religions. So, this decade could very well see the rise of a new digital faith, as many people are already talking to ChatGPT and other forms artificial intelligence, as if they were all-knowing gods. This is dangerous, as it has been proven to fuel people's delusions, having been essentially programmed for validating confirmation bias, but since when has danger ever truly stopped anyone from acting on their impulses? With Neptune in the impulsive sign of the ram, it doesn't look like now would be the time for them to stop having free reign.

Conclusion
Essentially, these next fourteen years might be full of exciting (but also, and/or scary) boundary-breaking changes. Neptune is a planet of idealism, as well as dissolution, and in Aries, we are inspired to get up and take action. If we don't like the world as it is, let's get out there and together, we can build a new one. While there can be a danger, with this transit, in romanticizing war and conflict, there is beauty to be found in the romanticizing of reality itself. We don't need to escape the world to align it with our ideals.
Of course, these transits will not affect every individual the same way or to the same extent. It's influence will be determined by what house the sign of Aries occupies in your chart, as well as any aspects it makes to the planets and/or angles in your birth chart. Those with major placements in the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) are likely to experience the most intense effects from this transit. Those with significant placements in the fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) are also likely to feel its effects but in a gentler way.
