A Short Introduction

In Part 1, after discussing its general, archetypal meaning, we took a look at how the transit of Uranus in Gemini has influenced the world throughout history. It's last transit in the 1940's, during the World War 2 years, brought technological innovations and social revolutions that changed the world, especially in regards to the areas of communication and thought associated with the mutable & mercurial air sign. We also looked even farther back into history, particularly at the last times it coincided with Neptune's transit through Aries and Pluto's transit in Aquarius.

Here in Part 2, we are going to take a look at what happens next. How is the current transit of Uranus in Gemini going to affect us now? These predictions will, of course, be informed by the historical examples of how this transit affected our planet in the past, as well as the archetypal themes of its modern context.

Aspects

So for a quick look at the timeline of this transit, Uranus entered the sign of the twins a couple months ago, on July 7th, 2025, before stationing retrograde only a weeks ago on September 6th. It will retrograde back into Taurus just a couple months from now on November 7th, stationing direct on the 3rd of February next year. This unconventional planet will re-enter Gemini on the 25th of April, 2026 and after a very brief dip into the waters of Cancer during the last few months of 2032, it will stay there until May 22nd, 2033.

When Uranus re-enters Gemini in February 2026, it will be making a sextile to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at the first degree of Aries, marking a change to the world so significant that it will require a whole other article of its own. Although Saturn has retrograded back into Pisces already now, where Neptune will soon join it once more, we might have got a teeny tiny taste of what was to come recently. In July and August of this year, Uranus not only made a sextile to Neptune (with Saturn) in Aries, but a trine to Pluto in Aquarius, as well, forming what's known as a "minor triangle" (like a mini grand trine except but with one planet forming a sextile to the other two, instead) between all three of the outer planets. This aspect will be activated again in July 2026 and once more in June of 2027. For those of you not well-versed in astrological terminology, this combination of energies suggests a rapid increase in both social & technological innovation, and revolutionary changes. While these are generally. at least at their most positive, archetypes associated with freedom, individuality, liberation and power to the people, there is always a duality in the choice as to how how these energies might manifest, and there is still an element here of potential war and/or having to fight for these values in order to make it happen, if that makes any sense.

The North Node in Pisces (as well as the South Node in Virgo) will also be making a square to Uranus in Gemini soon enough. This aspect will be exact in June of 2026, and could bring about a sudden twist of fate in those who are affected. The Nodes are karmic points, associated with past lives, destiny and growth, and the North Node in Pisces, at least in theory, has us destined for a more spiritual or holistic outlook, compared to the systematic, organized and rigorous but limited approach of the South Node in Virgo. In other words, my prediction was sort of about the unity between science and religion, and Uranus in Gemini may yield some surprising, even shocking, scientific or technological discoveries that could spark a paradigm shift in that regard, although it's possible that such innovations may be controversial too, at least at first. Considering the placement of Uranus in the sign of Gemini, this may include insights about the nature of consciousness, and the symbol of the twins could perhaps, represent, a unification of things normally recognized as "dualities."

Later on in it's transit, Uranus will be making an exact conjunction to Saturn at 27° Gemini in June 2032. Saturn is a planet normally associated with structure and tradition whereas Uranus is the exact opposite, so this is an interesting combination, especially in a sign as multi-faceted as Gemini. This duality could be expressed by both of these energetic extremes existing at once, but most likely, these archetypes will merge by giving birth to completely new structures, an order that has never been done before. This is a very creative transit, especially when it comes to new methods of communicating with each other. This could be through the materialization into physical of form of technologies that can help people to better translate things to one another, whether that be different languages, different ways of thinking, or something else entirely, a topic I continue to explore in the section below. I will write a more in-depth article about this specific aspect when we get closer to the date, assuming I am still alive by then, of course (because I mean, 7 years is kind of a a long time and with the fast-paced, chaotic nature of this transit, who really knows if anybody else will be either?).

Uranus in Gemini: Predictions for 2025-2033

So, let's look into the probabilities of how Uranus in Gemini may play out. In Taurus, Uranus's creative and revolutionary potential, as well as it's tendency to bring chaos and instability, was focused predominately on our resources. This includes both money, and the natural world, as environmental and economical concerns are intrinsically intertwined. From May 2018, up until now, we may have seen this manifest through nature's angry response to a crumbling financial system that is no longer sustainable, which perhaps became most evident in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, when businesses all over the world were forced to either adapt to a new way of life or shut down completely.

Moving into Gemini, however, we are being lifted up from the earth and flying over into the element of air. This shifts the focus of Uranus over to the realm of ideas, with information being a more valuable currency than the mere material.  Earth is our physical realm, while air is the element of ideas, so it's interesting to see, at least now, as Uranus moves from one of these elements to the other, how money remains symbolic of material wealth while no longer necessarily being a material thing in itself. However, is it possible that material wealth can lose its value altogether in exchange for a currency of words and ideas?

Uranus's shift from Taurus to Gemini potentially taking the form of a digital currency is just one example of something likely to happen during this transit. While cryptocurrency has been around for a while now, it is possible that this transit might increase its popularity in the decades to come. Throughout the last few years that Uranus has been in Taurus, money has slowly but surely been in the process of becoming more and more paperless, like air itself. Credit, and debit cards have been around for a long time now, but now, they are pretty much the norm. Before the Uranus in Taurus transit, many businesses were still cash-only, but these days, they're more likely to be cash-free. Of course, these days, instead of actually carrying around a physical card, many people just use their phone (or even their watch) for Apple-Pay. On one hand, this makes it more environmentally friendly, a topic clearly important to the earthy sign of Taurus, less dependent on trees (who are living beings providing us with the very air we breathe) to kill. However, the possibility of a cashless future also brings with it a whole new host of concerns, and as Uranus moves into Gemini, such new forms of income are only likely to increase. After all, being less tangible makes Gemini's world of thoughts and words a whole lot more chaotic and a whole lot less fixed. However, the future is an open book, and it's blank pages are waiting for you to draw/write whatever you want, so who really knows?

It's also interesting to witness the quick rise in artificial intelligence that occurred shortly before this transit, and how that pertains more generally to the nature of the human mind and consciousness itself. While I predicted the significance of A.I. in much older articles, these transits do not exist in isolation, and it is important to consider the nature of Gemini, a sign ruled by Mercury, the planet of all things mental, thoughts, ideas and matters of communication. This transit could spark a "cognitive revolution" of sorts. We can see this in the attempts of certain scientists to create a new type of conscious being through A.I., or even playing God through reframed eugenics by directly interfering with DNA such as with cloning or genetic modification. As debates about the nature of A.I. and whether or not it can actually "be conscious" rage on, attempts are being made at developing BCIs that will literally merge us with A.I., such as Elon Musk's Neurolink chip, while others are attempting to create their own individualized virtual universe.  I mean, Gemini is a sign happy to have as wide of a variety of choices & options available as possible, and Uranus here breaks the barrier that defines the possible from what's not.

Such technological innovations will likely lead scientists and philosophers to question the nature of consciousness more generally too. This could perhaps result in a greater focus on consciousness researcher at the spiritual level, beyond the current norms of mainstream psychology. This is especially interesting considering Uranus's move into Gemini coincides with the transit of the North Node in Pisces, which I thought may also include a push to unite both science and religion. Could this be a recognition of the soul, of mind before matter rather than the other way around? When it comes to acknowledging the significance of spiritual truth, life after death and/or our ability to create, this is a very positive thing, but when you consider merging with artificial intelligence, and things like that, plus the nature of the system we live in, I suppose the fear is that our billionaire overlords will only want to study the spirit so that they can control it. Let this transit be one of liberation rather than control.

On a similar note, with Gemini being a sign associated with communication, it is possible that Uranus's transit here will function by inventing new, more efficient and faster ways for us to communicate with each other. For example, the worldwide web of connections the internet has weaved all over the world, even from across the seas, may become even more prevalent, and speedier too. Of course, while the globe has become more interconnected than ever before, cultural and language barriers still separate us, to some extent, but might that change too? This could take the from of electronic translation devices powered by artificial intelligence, to list one example of what could happen. Of course, the infamous Tesla-CEO / ketamine addict has claimed to have a patent on telepathic communication, as a result of his Neuralink chip, too. However, while I could this transit playing out in a way that blurs the boundaries between our thoughts and words, or by allowing us to more quickly share information with each other, this is where Uranus in Gemini might either unify, or further divide, the duality between the spiritual and the materialistic. What I mean is: might the electrifying nature of Uranus enlighten us by showing us that we are already electric beings (i.e. the heart and brain literally have their own magnetic fields!) who already have a natural ability to telepathically communicate with each other?

In Part 1, I spoke a lot about advances in education that occurred during the last transit of Uranus in Gemini. In our current era, the reliance on technology to teach us things takes those advances in education in an entirely new direction. The world changed dramatically already during the Saturn-Pluto-Jupiter conjunction of 2020, back in the sign of Capricorn, when the threat of the COVID-19 forced schools (and all other types of businesses, of course) across the world to adopt a virtual platform (and arguably may have stunted the social development of an entire generation). With Uranus in Gemini, such virtual learning platforms may increase while also being more social, or more than likely, this will be more of a "hybrid model" that includes more digital technologies from within the classroom. If companies like META get what they want, this could even include literal "virtual reality" goggles to be used in education; while I see how this could potentially be appealing by delivering a more direct multi-model learning experience, I can't help but fear that all this time spent "learning virtually" will make it difficult for future generations to ever learn reality.

Of course, the revolution in education and learning could, and hopefully will, happen in other ways too, that don't involve crazy futuristic fantasies or sci-fi tech. Especially considering Uranus's ingress into Gemini took place at the same time as Jupiter, the planet of wisdom & higher learning's transit through its exalted sign of Cancer, a sign often concerned with protecting and nurturing the younger generations, I could see the field of childcare and education hopefully changing for the better under this transit (although I am aware there's a risk of wishful thinking). This could be more diversity in educational styles and methods, more choices in what students want to learn, a more varied and less restricted curriculum, and basically, an encouragement of free thought, creativity and curiosity. I would love it if outdoor learning and education around the natural world became something more mainstream, for example. As Gemini is a sign associated with both diversity, and the mind, and Uranus, of course, with all things new and different, the topic of neurodiversity and neurodivergence also needs to be acknowledged here. Could this involve more rights and respect for different types of thinkers and learners?

On an entirely different note, the sign of Gemini and its ruling planet, Mercury, are often associated with transportation. Being of the air element, of course, it comes as no surprise that Uranus's last transit through Gemini, this should have taken the form of air travel. So, I'm wondering now if in its current transit, the innovative planet may take these advances in transportation to the next level with space travel technology. It is interesting considering that Pluto is also transiting Aquarius, which led me to predict something similar. The ideas of time travel and teleportation also popped into my head, although this would be taking this article back into the realm of fantastical futurism. However, while it's hard to imagine us all traveling the galaxy like Star Wars characters within the next 7-8 years, a certain level of advancement in space travel (i.e. figuring out how to sustain human life on Mars, for example) is certainly a possibility. This could also, of course, simply be about the discovery of life on other planets, which although it does sound a bit sci-fi, I have a feeling may very well happen. For example, already an atypical comet has been discovered coming toward our planet and while it is not the mainstream view of the community, a few scientists have been outspoken in their speculations of it having an extraterrestrial origin.

As many astrologers, including myself, have already discussed, the United States of America will soon be experiencing its Uranus Return. With a Gemini Uranus conjunct the warrior planet, Mars, in the 7th house of its chart of relationships (including both alliances & open enemies), a look at history shows how each time this country has experienced its Uranus Return, they have been involved in some type of major war. This includes the Revolutionary War (which partly coincided with Pluto's previous transit in Aquarius), the Civil War (which almost totally coincided with Neptune's last transit through Aries, the warrior of the zodiac, a sign ruled by Mars itself) and World War 2. While this doesn't necessarily mean the U.S. is fated to be involved in a large-scale war again, if I'm honest, I do feel the indicators are there.

The revolutionary nature of Uranus in Gemini itself combined with the power of the people indicated by Pluto in Aquarius, maybe it's simply a battle between the government vs. the citizens or inhabitants. Of course, the dualistic nature of the twins makes a country, or many countries even, split by a war from within, easy to imagine too. However, considering Uranus's move into Gemini has happened so soon after a Uranus-Jupiter conjunction in Taurus, just like when the U.S. joined forces with the U.K. during World War 2, I don't think its fearmongering to say that this could be something more global. You don't have to believe in astrology to see that we're closer to World War 3 than maybe ever before (although I know during the Cold War, many people felt the world was very close) but unfortunately, astrology does seem to confirm that the possibility is there, although it may not necessarily come to fruition. On the other hand though, it was World War 2 that gave birth to the United Nations and might it be that instead of countries splitting apart, they come together instead? Of course, this could take the form of that one world government that conspiracy theories have been fearing for ages....

To be more specific, with so many wars occurring at once (i.e. Russia and Ukraine, and NATO, or Israel and Palestine) it does seem likely that, if the United States or other world powers get more involved than they already are (which is a probability that we do have to consider, unfortunately) it would, most likely, if we're being realistic, lead to World War 3. Furthermore, while the access to worldwide communication granted by the internet has united us as a planet, and this will likely be intensified during Uranus in Gemini's transit, it has simultaneously broadcast and the division in politics and ideology from with nations. War, dictatorship and totalitarianism are likely to trigger rebellion, revolution and unrest, as I would hope it would. Could it be that the spatial borders between countries on a map are overthrown in favor of more psychological ones, with the separation of nations being defined not by land but by ideas?. This may be a bit out there, a utopian or dystopian idea depending on what your outlook is, but it's a very interesting one to consider, and literally something I had just thought of now, right this very second, at the time of me writing this sentence.

These themes, and I am talking about all of the above, will likely, of course, be reflected in the art, film, music, fashion, and other forms of media and/or pop culture of the times. All of these things can be seen as a form of communication and this transit is likely to bring about new forms of media and expression. It will likely bring more variety, and an encouragement in experimentation. As opposed to seeing the same boring works pushed on us again and again, this transit favors the interesting, the thought-provoking, the diverse and the unconventional.

All in all, I believe this will be a very unpredictable time, full of ups and downs. At the end of the day, it might turn out that there are multiple paths we can choose from. In fact, life might very well feel more like a rollercoaster than it ever has before, at least for those of us under 84 years old (as these individuals will be experiencing their Uranus Return and have the upside down nature of Uranus in Gemini, basically written in their DNA, since birth, although this transit may spark a new degree of awakening in them). We may have gotten a small taste of something similar when Jupiter was in Gemini, back in 2024 throughout earlier this year. Like the former transit, I have a feeling the next seven years are going to be a little bit all over the place, but through it all, there will be a massive revelation of truth, at least for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Conclusion

So, let's try our best to sum things up here. After looking at the archetypal themes & historical examples of past Uranus in Gemini transits in Part 1 of this article, as well as its current aspects here in Part 2, we concluded that Uranus in Gemini's transit from 2025 to 2033 will likely bring about a revolution of consciousness, with rapid (& hopefully liberating!) innovations in education, communication and transportation being major themes too. However, the dualistic nature of the twins, means there's two, or possibly even more, ways that this could potentially go. Will this be by hacking our material brains through science & technology that will potentially leave us vulnerable control by turning us into literal robots? Or will this be more of a spiritual revelation, leading to true liberation of the soul? It seems that the choice is up to you, and it might even be that our timelines will split in two, so which timeline will you choose? Ultimately, I think Uranus in Gemini is a transit of almost limitless possibilities and despite all the scary war predictions, this makes it an exciting one to me.

Of course, how this transit affects you will depend on the influence it has on your own unique natal chart. Those with major placements (i.e. angles, luminaries or personal planets) in mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) are the most likely to be affected by this transit, while the other air signs (Libra & Aquarius) may feel its influence to some extent too. A lot also depends on what house Gemini occupies within your birth chart, as this will tell you what area of life these changes are most likely to take place in. In any case, you can learn more about how this transit will affect you personally by booking a reading with me here.
